After my twins were born, I suffered from chronic low milk production and unfortunately got some bad advice in the beginning. I did everything I could to boost milk production which involved seeing lactation consultants, going to a doctor who specializes exclusively in breastfeeding, seeing a naturopath and trying acupuncture, joining multiple Facebook groups about breastfeeding, exclusive pumping, and low milk supply, researching to the end of the Earth (or bounds of Google), and reading everything under the sun about boosting milk production. My research has essentially left me an expert on all things related to breastfeeding, pumping, low milk supply, and boosting milk production. Perhaps the biggest blessing of my difficulties? I now get to share my wealth of knowledge with you in hopes that you don’t have to suffer the heartbreak of low milk supply that I did. Below you will find a compilation of all of my research and efforts to learn about the best ways to increase milk supply.
